Journal of the European Association for Chinese Studies Issue 7.1 (2026)
Call for contributions
The editors of JEACS invite submissions for a forthcoming special issue scheduled for publication in 2026.
This open call welcomes contributions that critically reflect on the state of Chinese Studies in Europe. Building on the anniversary symposium held in Paris in November 2025, the issue will contain articles that examine the conditions shaping the field from a wide range of perspectives. We especially welcome contributions that provide well-grounded reflections with strong methodological, theoretical, or conceptual relevance, while we are also interested in personal experience-based perspectives that shed light on broader developments in the field.
Abstracts : Contributors must send an abstract to the editors (journal[at]chinesestudies.eu) by Dec 31 2025 prior to preparing the full piece. Authors will be notified of the decision by 10 Jan 2026.
Submission : Please follow the guidelines for either “Research Paper” or “Spotlight” as appropriate (as detailed here). For this issue, Spotlights may be a maximum of 5000 words. The final submission deadline for accepted proposals will be Feb 28 2026.
